1. What is Mindscript?

Mindscript a Visual Programming environment. This practically means that you can develop your own programs with Mindscript. Your programs are programmed in a graphical language. You can also use Mindscript to run programs that someone else has developed.

2. What can Mindscript be used for?

Mindscript is a general purpose language, and can thus be used to program just about anything. The author itself uses it for cryptographic visualization and dialog based database applications, among other things.

3. Where can I find documentation?

This is a question with two answers.

API Documentation: Mindscript is a self-documented language. This means that the API-documentation is integrated into the API and IDE. Just right-click any object in the Mindscript RAD application for information about that particular method.

System Documentation: For Mindscript system documentation, please do refer to this homepage.


4. Is there an OS X version of Mindscript available?

Mindscript is written in cross-platform C++ using the cross-platform libraries WxWidgets and Crypto++. This means that Mindscript technically can be compiled for MacOS X. This has however never been done.

5. Is there a Linux version of Mindscript available?

Mindscript is written in cross-platform C++ using the cross-platform libraries WxWidgets and Crypto++. This means that Mindscript can be compiled for Linux, and it has been (refer to the Screenshot section of this homepage for graphical proof). Unfortunately, the Make-files has been lost. New are under development, but progress is rather slow.

6. Is Mindscript free of charge?

Mindscript is free of charge if you use it for non commercial usage.
